How long can a hot air balloon or thermal airship stay airborne?
I was considering what I would use to try and escape/evade zombies during an infection (as you do) and thought a hot air balloon as an option. Could it go for just a number of hours, a day or more possibly?
A typical hot air balloon can stay aloft between 45 minutes to 2 hours. It depends on the size of balloon, how much weight is carried, the amount of propane on board and the ambient temperature. When its cold out (below freezing), some balloonists make a sport of seeing how long they can go. 5 hours is not uncommon.
As far a escaping infection. A flu shot is a lot cheaper.
