Hot Air Balloon Shirt
Why do we get ripped off in UK ? (& Nothing you can do about it)?
1) Booked a non-refundable hot air balloon flight..been cancelled each time i book cos of weather..5 times so far…5 days off work….5x£2 phone call to find out….one big scam.
2)Paid carpetfitter to pick my carpet up from store…and fit it.
Come home and its wrong colour…the shop says the carpet should be checked before fitting….nice one “carpetright”
3)Bought a shirt in debenhams..opened an account too..but asked for shirt to be paid on visa and not the account…5 weeks later i get a bill for shirt and £12.80..i go to store and said i thought the shirt was paid for,i gave the assistant my visa card to do just that….it wasn,t paid for despite my till receipt…i lose temper…thrown out of store and banned…and £12.80 ripped off. Very clever con- trick that.
Maybe all of us who have been ripped, should form a site to name & shame the rip off merchants, mind you the law would be on their side & it would be up to us to prove the “rip off
