What do you think will Be Obama Military Policy If Elected?
Barack Obama offered his insights into his military policy in the middle of a war — cut everything that might make us secure. He’ll cut missile defense, new weapons systems, and just about everything he can:
Does any body think this is a good idea?
He will leave America defenseless and vulnerable to her enemies. Biden has already warned us there will be a terrorist attack if Obama is elected AND that the American people may not like the way Obama and his supporters handle it. He wants America to fall to her enemies.

Cost of a hot air balloon?
looking for a new hobby to do with my wife. I was wondering if having/operating/ maintaining a hot air balloon is expensive and/or time consuming.
Also how safe is it to operate one.
Let’s assume you don’t have a private pilot (balloon) license. You need a minimum of 10 hours of flight time. Add 50% to 15 hours. Flight instructors (actually just commercial pilots) charge around $350.00 per hour. I’ve known some to charge less for flight instruction. Your check ride with an FAA check pilot might cost around $200.00. So we are at $5,450.00 (probably less) so far.
Now, if you have your own balloon, instead of using the instructors, your hourly rate should drop $100.00 or so. Let’s say $250.00 per hour. So now, flight instruction costs $3,950.00.
You can’t go out and rent a balloon like you can an airplane. You’ll have to buy. A new balloon costs around $23,000.00 for a 76,000 cubic foot balloon and basket. A used balloon might cost $12,000.00 (I got mine for less). You’ll need a vehicle to either tow a trailer or carry the balloon (system) all or mostly inside. You will also need an small engine driven inflator (positive ventilation)fan. That will cost $500.00 to $1,000.00, there are parts around to build one yourself if you want.
Each year you must get the balloon inspected. That costs around $200.00, if nothings wrong. Each balloon manufacturer requires various parts must get replaced every so often. A few burners have to go back to the factory every year for a check. Envelopes usually get replaced after 500 hours or more. Firefly fuel hoses get replaced every 9 years.
Some states may charge a tax on your balloon. You will burn through 30-40 gallons of propane a flight. Propane costs about $1.50 a gallon. If you have your own storage tank, you can get a deal. The price changes if somebody sneezes.
Ballooning requires a crew. If you have a couple of people as passengers that want to help, you’re set. Usually, you’ll need an extra body or two. Many times, buying them breakfast or dinner (balloonists usually fly before breakfast and dinner) and a flight every once in a while does the trick.
The fun you will have with your wife, passengers, crew and spectators……priceless.
As far as safety, I’m here to tell you about it, aren’t I? Balloonists log about 100,000 hours a year in the US and there are an average of 2 deaths a year. Balloons on an average fly 100 hours or less a year. Many times, this happens on landing. They hit a power line or a passenger falls out during landing. Just don’t do that and you’ll be OK.
